Doing research on adding more weight to the back of my boat. So far, I am thinking of adding some lead to the back transom to add some ballast. What do you think about that?

i think that's a good idea, but not too much as then it will make your wake peaky and not rampy.

I am thinking about barbells. 5-35 lbs on each side... Maybe 45 lbs but that might be overkill. This weight was suggested by surfdad to help out with the surfing part but will still add water ballast in Jan-Mar time frame....

Dont put too much in the back....saw a SAN this weekend with soo much weight in the back you could see the front tracking fin

yeah he wont' have that much. You can use my lead weights Da.bell. I'll be up that way next week probably.... Unless CP3 is coming to cold water, then he gets them. but I have 200, and could melt the rest to get 300 in 50 pound weights.

I am thinking of about 175 lbs on each side.... Just have to find a way to get them sturdy so they don't move around.... Maybe a bar in between the holes and mounted to the floor.... hey.... that is an idea...
