I was going to test my subs last night, but I came home to a disaster. Dog pulled her bootie off, so I got to clean house for 4 hours, then when I went to work on the boat I was so pissed off, I couldn't figure out why the 10 wouldn't work, so I went to the range and took some frustration out on a little white ball. Man I love my new clubs

I'm off to work on it tonight, to figure out why the sub isn't working. If it's the HU, Amp, or the electronic crossover stuff. I hooked the sub up to my amp in the house and it THUMPED, it was SWEET!! so just gotta figure out what's wrong on the boat

yeah it will suck. Oh well. I tried the amps before and they all turned on. I think part of my problem is there are different generations of PPI amps, so one set of them has the channels ++R-- and the other has -+R-+ so I gotta get a mirror to hold up there so I can see them. Off to ace at lunch to pick up a small mirror, and some longer bolts

I just hope it turns out to be something simple, and not my amps

I was cleaning it up for 5 hours, and it's still not clean. Cleaned it up for another 45 min this am, and will be finishing it up after dark tonight

I hope it's somethig simple, like bad RCA's, or miss matched wires. I hope it's not the amp or the HU.

I gotta put a bass blocker on the bow speakers. They are so much louder the the amped one.s I don't get it.

Well, that is why I have two small Shih Tzu's. The aren't strong enough to tip over trash.

Is there a chance that an RCA cable's plastic protector has been cut and the wires are touching metal? Unlikely, but a possibility since you do have a lot of wires everywhere.

I would definintely check to see if you reverse the amp speaker wires as you stated. Hooking up two negatives will give you nothing.....

interesting thought on the RCA's. I thought I had it figured out last night as when I found that I had the RCA's reversered on the first amp. I have the amps all linked together from the sub outlet on the distributer, to the in on the first amp, our on that amp to the in on the second, and the same to the third. That didnt' work. Once I got a little noise out of it, but I had the gain all the way up, and the amp I hooked it up to in the house when I did that it was WAY loud, and actually cut out, so I know that's not right.

Other potential problem is my bow speakers are off my HU, and I have the HU at -6 bass and trebile. I am going to unhook them to see if maybe it's the fact that since I dont' have a dedicated Sub RCA on the deck if that's the problem. If it is I'm off to Radio shack to buy some Bass blockers for those speakers.

I think that is probably the problem.

last night it took me for ever to hook up my new 50" Plasma I had pic but no sound...... I just had the audio in the wrong out-put. I was getting pissed and the wife was making fun of me the whole time..... O well it's all good now

ha ha that's cool. What model 50 did you get? I'm looking at getting one for football season. I want a 63 for the living room, but sams doesn't have it anymore

It is a HP but to be honest it was an open item at Best Buy so I didn't see it on and the pic is not that great I'm taking it back today to get a new one or I might get A Toshiba 56" DLP that they had for the same price....
