None/All/1/2?????
Zat make sense? ALL is the one postion for the batt switch where all batteries are tied together electrically, and hence the outputs of the charger are paralleled. Any other batt switch postion and the outputs of teh charger are isolated, just like the batteries are. It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....

When you have the batt switch in ALL, the charger is running two outputs into a single combined load. Some chargers may not like this and may operate less effectively. It also probably provides a less than ideal charge situation; since the batteries are tied together electrically, they are charged by the same charge source. The deep cycle bank probably wants to be charged differently than the starting bank. When the batt switch is in the ALL position, you prevent that from happening. It's not an optical illusion.
