The asnwer is yes, if the woofer has dual 4-ohm coils.
If it has dual 2-ohm coils, you would want to wire them in series to a 4-ohm load, in which case you are only running 300 watts...It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....

We do need to know the coil impedance still...
It is sorta like asking if you can push a cat through a hole in the wall; we need to know the size of both the cat and the hole prior to being able to answer...
