The interesting thing is that I talked with Bullet about them and the District Sales Manager was going to sell me a "great" setup with 4 towers (the hollow points), 6 internal speakers (polk), HU, 2 amps, ... all this for $4500. Went home and talked with the GF about it and said, "what the hell... Let's do it". Once we got to the dealer to grab the RZ2 and drag it over to Bullet, we talked to Lightning Audio about their quote... Well, to make a long story short, the District Sales Manager was my old boat salesperson and I got SCREWED on my purchase of the 24Ve (okay I did purchase it but he didn't strike me any deals or discounts on it.. I was the stupid buyer) and asked myself... "Why would I go back to someone that screwed me in the first place?" The rest is history... Went to Lightning and got a huge discount on a stereo system that would have cost someone $8k to install. Now, I didn't pay the $8k for the system either.
The boat's name is call "The Secret" because of two secrets that I can't tell anyone... Well, it should be secrets ($ of boat and $ of stereo) but the price of the stereo install was already stated on here but buried within this thread....
Memphis will be good IMO. At times, I think Wetsounds is over priced and over rated... I know my Arc Audio 6000's are awesome..
Glad that you don't have to crawl around but again, this new boat is a little bigger and you don't have the huge hole in the bow anymore.
Here's my take on Wetsounds. Yeah they are real nice and real loud but as you stated I think they are overpriced as are the NVS and HSE's as well. Imo they are for the younger set or those that want to impress. I don't mean to offend anyone but do you really need speakers that will blast the whole lake? Not everyone wants to hear music at that level. Besides with the way things are going we'll see more and more sound sanctions i think. I listened to the Memphis setup and the rider will be able to hear loud and clear no problem.

I totally agree Razz... My setup, per my GF, can be heard 65 feet back crystal clear... And I don't have the horns... They are just marine grade speakers from Arc. I would assume that yours will be the same.

Well i probably shouldn't say this but he gave me all of that installed for a little more than what i could have bought it for discount over the web! I couldn't believe the deal.
The unofficial name of the new boat is either Orca or Shamu according to my wife (she hasn't made up her mind), she says it looks like a killer whale!
