I had one and rubbing alcohol with a q-tips die okay to dry the area. Then there was the time that it didn't work and got really bad.

how about when you are in that awkward angle, pulling your ear lobe just so, it is almost visible in the mirror, around the corner with your good eye, and you are poking arond with a nail file...
You are screaming in agony, as it is SO TENDER, and then all of the sudden you hit that right spot and POW off it goes, like a little geyser...

That sort of relief? Is that what you are talking about?
