In a full range speaker where there is a crossover, it takes care of sending all the high stuff to the tweeter, and sends everything lower to the midrange. In head-unit-only systems where you have a subwoofer it is nice to remove the lowest frequecies from the midranges, and the crossover that comes with the speakers does not do that.Originally posted by CP3 View Post
That is why they sell the bass blocker capacitors. It removes the bass form the door speakers so jsut the subwoofer plays bass.
