We used metal on the one that I put up last Sept. The fence guy said that metal will sway more than the wood posts... Not sure why but we are trying to get something that will stand for 10 years at least.... After that, I don't plan to be in the same house anyways.

usually with pressure treated you dont have to worry about rotting

The fence that I put up, we did put that stuff in there. Just wasn't sure why the contractor said that but again, I didn't care... Just need to keep the dogs in my backyard.
