that's like asking what's a reasonable car to drive everyday, or a reasonable boat to use or a reasonable house to buy. way too many variables.

For me a reasonable salary is $200k since boats and new trucks and trips around the country cost so damn much! The government however, being mostly unreasonable, pays me considerably less than that but I still manage.

I mean when I was 16 20k was awesome

then i hit 18 and college and needed more

then I hit bartending at 21 and was used to six figures

then I graduated and took a 50% pay cut and it sucked, but in OK it was ok.

then I moved to cali and I couldn't do it and had to work a second job to get back to 6 figures.

My friends make low 40's, my brother made 70's then jumped to six figures, then back to below and wanted more so went back to 6 figures.

If I didn't have my toys I could be fine without the second job. There is just so many things you have to consider.

it's just way too many options. I mean out here in Cali if you wanna go work for an oil company in the fields you start at 120 to 150. but your working 80hrs a week.

That was only part of my point. I work for the government so my salary is controlled by them.
