Retrieving data is very, very expensive if a hard drive crashes.... You're best bet is to back it up onto multiple drives....

I don't think it's the crash, just the cable came loose. I need to just solder it back, and see if it will come back up. the whole comp is just old. But the problem is I don't have the tower anymore

so I have no way to check if the solder fixed it.
