I know Mazda's got an XUV that is the same basic platform as the Lincoln MKX, which is the Ford Edge.. I am pretty sure that is accurate.
Both domestic companies have been significant shareholders in the other two companies, or the otehr way around. It might not be that way to day, or the percentage ownership might have radically changed, but my suspicion is that there is still common ownership.It's not an optical illusion.
