Well, usually when you paint walls, you would paint them first with primer.... Then the paint itself to reduce the number of coats...

yeah, but in this case, i'm not too worried about the number of coats. It's a boat, and I want it sealed up as good as I can. If I could figure a way to seal the inside of the box, without having runs everywhere I would. I have thought about taking the resin part of the fiber and just doing one wall at a time on the inside, just to seal the wood. MDF is really bad about soaking up any and all moisture.

3m was actually cheaper then what Rass used in the off brand. It was only 4 something a can. So I figured I'd use it. I have been pleased with all the other 3M products I have used.
