Just running some prelim tax numbers......HOLY SH!T.........seriously.....I don't mind paying my fair share but sh!t o' dear this is sick. I got heartburn. Perhaps I need to shelter some more money.
I am dreading tax season also. I claimed a lot of exemptions this year hoping that I would break even. Unfortunately, I think I will have a few hundred $'s in my pocket when it's over. Actually, If I break even, I will be happy.
It is nice getting the cash in pocket, but that is money you could have paid a credit card off with, invested or otherwise made work for you. But no, the IRS had it the entier time, and they were not nice enough to even think about sliding you a little interest for the use of your cash...
It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....

looks like I'll be a ways away from even, prob 8-13k away. Actually I'll have to pay a penalty for under paying this year.
Okay, since it is the boy's club over here, I want to unofficially poll you guys with your thoughts
Gel blisters... Whose fault are they? If you read elsewhere in here, you know my thoughts, but I am curious as to what you all think...
I've been told that if you leave your boat in the water, the water will seep in the gelcoat and the sun will expand the gell with evaporated water and create blisters. So I was told not to keep your boat in the water. Huh? Don't keep my BOAT in the WATER? I feel that if the gelcoat is not sealed 100% on my $70k boat then the manufactuer should fix the problem.
Let me disclose that I don't think the manufactuer should be responsible for a 7year old boat that has been in the water for 3 years w/o care. I'm talking about the people that use their boats 3-4 months a year and find gel bubbles on their 2 year old boat. You should be able to moor your boat for a summer, and expect that it will be fine.
