Got two emails from the same person. Both said:

"Hello,

I'm very interested in your boat you have available for sale. I currently have a 07 malibu that is for sale and I have a buyer on that boat. I'm looking for a larger boat that is 23 or 24 feet. I currently have 25,000 cash to put down on the boat and would need the rest to be financed but can not find any bank here that will do it for me since I have to many inquires since I just opened a new business and all the new credit has driven my score down etc. If your willing to finance the rest on a personal note I would be willing to purchase this boat ASAP!

Please let me know if this could be worked out."


Everything looks to be working out okay with stuff but might be hard to finance. I can't do it....

1) Two emails from two different email address.
2) Same names
3) originating email source is from same ISP located in the USA
4) First email was from a AOL account
5) Second email was from a work email.
6) Took the work email and removed the crap to find that is was a true business in Denver.
7) Denver is where my listing is at this time.

Not saying it isn't but again, nothing has posted or supported a scam yet IMO. However, the dealer is now involved and will be emailing him. Wonder if I call the resturant where the second email came from and ask for him by name if I would get someone to respond.

Could be ok... The red flags just went up on the whole "will you carry the paper" notion. Hopefully it's all legit... I'm always more concerned about seller beware than buyer beware in those types of situations... Let us know what shapes up on it...
