I read that the other day. How absurd... They might as well tax chicks with long hair extra too, since they use blow-driers...

I undersand the tax is predicated on size too, right? I can follow the logic, (or lack thereof) sort of, but the rationale is flawed...

If one is going to tax the use of electrical devices, there are much worse offenders that are commonly used every day...

yup it's based on size, but it's an insult, I mean 10 dollars? like that is gonna raise any money for this state. I'm have tempted to drive my truck to vegas and back just to get the tv and not pay that just to spite cali

What about really big Christmas decorations?

Wait, let's make some real sense. How about just charging usage? I mean, those who waste electricitiy use more, right? Go after the root of the problem, where there is effective metering...

I typically do not get wound up about stuff like this, since it affects everybody equally, or has the potential to, but this example is silly.

I probably would not drive to Las Vegas just to save $10.00, but wow...
