So If you want the best possible picture from both use the DVI from the suxbox and component for the wii

well I have all of those hook up's for my tv, so what should I get when I get the wii and 360

they will be fine with components

the wii will come just with the normal video cables so if you want you can get components for like $15 at target.


Just get whatever cables you need to hook up everything without having to switch cables...

DVI and HDMI are basically identical, major difference is that HDMI also can carry audio in the same cable. But as far as picture quality is concerned, DVI is JUST as good as HDMI, they are the same.

There are 2 types of component, normal and progressive. Progressive is better, its like a VGA cable and allows DVDs to send 24 frames per second full frame video, for best quality, instead of 30fps interlaced NTSC signal. Both the TV and the DVD must support it, almost all newer stuff is progressive, which is why component can support HD, its basically like a VGA cable. Its like watching a DVD on your computer, where it is FILM like, cuz its not interlaced.

that my problem right now I only have 2 component ports, I have my xbox and hdtv hooked to them. I need to get a HDMI cable for the cable so I can get components for my wii... so everything will be in HD

Maybe at bestbuy, go online to newegg. HDMI is cheap. What I like about HDMI, is I don't have to use a DVI cable, and an optical cable, I just have it all in one nice cable.

I just got this receiver a few months ago (4th denon receiver over the years, I love em) and it does HDMI switching, and hdmi out to the plasma. I think the wii is the only component I have on this thing, all else is HDMI.

have 2 on my 50 and the 60 is not ordered so for now it will be one plugged into the 50, one into the dvd player.

with the 60 then one console goes in that room, the other in the other room.

but then again, if the wii is out of stock I have nothing to worry about
