I am on here on and off today... Not much work to do but have to fix the XBox 360 that we purchased a week ago already. The damn thing overheated already. The funny thing is that my computer runs cooler and quieter than that stupid f'ing xbox...

I knew I should have bought a PS3.... There hasn't been any complaints of that thing running hot....

Is it a brand new one or was it used?

I have a PS3 and we havnt had any problems except for a ground loop problem, but we fixed it with a 3 prong adapter.

We bought it a week ago. I just went back out to bestbuy.com and purchased another one so we can return the one that we have now. Since they do not have any more XBox360 Elite's in the store because they are sold out, I had to get one online. This is what the store suggested that we do since they were not going to get any more in anytime soon....

The kids suggested XBox and I have never really heard of anything great about the XBox besides the Halo series. I have always been a PS person and have had great luck with the PS.... This is what I get for listening to the kids.....

Yeah the Ps3 has a lot more functionality. And plus I hate the xbox controllers

IMO, the controllers have been modernized since the original XBox and I don't mind them. But, it just pisses me off that Microsoft has had this unit out for over a year or two and there still is problems with the unit overheating. It's just crazy and the damn thing is loud.... You always hear that fan blowing in the back.....

No, I got talked into an XBox..... That is the point. When I listen to the children, I have ALWAYS got screwed with stuff like this. They only look at what is selling hot and what everyone should have and not the overall picture of how the product is. I am more upset with myself over this since I knew better but also thought about the unit being on the market for awhile so I thought that the problems were resolved. Unfortunately, they were not.

My sister is doing the same thing... she went to her friends house and she had a nintendo DS and shes wanted one ever since and I keep talking her out of it.

Didn't go to the reunion. Was thinking about it but couldn't afford it. Next year my GF and I are planning to attend. But, it does sound like they had a great time....
