I guess the argument would be whether or not the TCW-3 oil formulated for two-stroke outboard motors is suitable for land-based air-cooled motors like weedeaters, gas blowers, and, well, mopeds...

You seee, the difference is primarily operating temperature. The TCW-3 outboard formula might not withstand the heat of the air-cooled motors so well...

Then again, I have an old Elgin outboard, (sold by Sears and Roebuck Co.) that is air-cooled. No water pump... Would TCW-3 be okay for that?

I actually intend to use that air cooled motor as a bicycle motor. Pull the prop off and install a roller of some sort. Then fabricate up a bracket to hang the motor on a bicycle with the roller pressed against the back tire...

I thnk there is a picture of such a rig on the internet somewhere. Funny, if you can think of something, more often than not someone else has already done it.
