Sunday was all R&R. Watched the Raiders kick some butt (not a big fan of the team but it is nice to watch football) and saw my 49ers suck arse... I wonder if we should just chalk up this year as a losing season again???? Oh well, yesterday was nice just to relax and take things easy. Wish all my weekends were like this but again, I then wouldn't have kids.

I need to mow, but I blew it off for the weekend.... Probably catch up over a couple of evenings this week. I am off to South Beach early next Monday morning, so I want it done before then...
I also need to go ahead and winterize the boat this week...It's not an optical illusion.

This year seems to be closing earlier than last year.
Well, I haven't touched a lawn mower in 4 years. The GF's oldest son does the mowing for us. However, he tries to go too fast and doesn't always to the best job but I guess the point I have to say is that he tries and gets the bigger parts of the lawn mowed.

Agreed on short season. I have stretched and stretched and stretched the season, since we had no real spring with all the rain and flooding. We are still well away from a freeze to be concerned about, but I don't want to be one of "those guys" who procrastinate and end up with the big repair bill in the spring with a cracked block... I might have three more weeks maybe, but I have outboard boats as well.... Time to put the Stingray to bed I guess...It's not an optical illusion.

I was going to winterize my boat this last weekend but want to go out one more time. But, will definitely do the winterizing in two weeks if the weather doesn't warm up a little bit. We are already getting rain and the fingers are crossed for more rain later in the season since we need A LOT of it.
I did go out to the local lake that we boat in. Damn it's low. I have never seen that lake that low. The lowest launch ramp was viewable and it is just amazing to see right now. We went out there to investigate what we boat on top of and what to avoid when the water does get lower than we normally boat over. The last time I went to the lake however, the lake was 20 feet higher... Again, just stupid low right now....
