Good to hear that. I had my children and I try and do stuff with them. My oldest was a PITA this weekend so I had to be the bad guy but he does this every once in awhile to see if I am paying attention and to see what he can get away with.

Good Sat. night went to a block party and watched the UFC fight projected on the side of the house

Then my buddy comes up to me and ask me if I want to go see Def Leppard Sunday night. I'm like HEll YA......


So he gives me the tickets to redeem at the box office. We get there Sunday night and I redeem my tickets and look down at the ticket and freaking Styx and Foreigner are opening for Def Leppard!!!!!!!

Crazy game... We had been watching the "book" all week, trying to figure out why the line on the game was so tight... The bet all week seemed a gimme, take Tech for all you can afford.

Pokes flipped it, and anyone who bet that way had their stuff handed to them.

The guys in Las Vegas really do know what is gonna happen... Amazing...

E-62 on a line, full data exchange, wireless modem for laptop, and the occasional 2nd phone call capabilities....

New Nokia 6555 for regular calling...

Shared family plan for voice calls and unlimited texting for right around $105.00 per month.

One thing to check come Christmas... I have no proof, but it feels like some speed on the network has been compromised for the E-62 in support of the iPhone and any of the 3G phones coming out. SOme of the E-62 users on the ATT / Cingular forum feel the E-62 is a lame duck device. It is working still for me, and it is working well enough to not have to consider a change yet, but come Christmas, opt out for the fastest technology available for your data connection.

I am pretty sure I will be moving away from the E-62 in favor of one of the better supported and faster technologies within the year. Keep me posted on your research when you pull the trigger...

I should add that I could use the new 6555 as a data phone too, it supports data transfer through Nokia's PC Suite just like the E-62, but has the new 3G technology, apparently same speed as full broadband for data transfer...

The main reason I didn't merge lines and technologies was a desire to keep a device with a full qwerty keyboard, which the 6555 doesn't have, hence the second line and the E-62, (for the time-being).

That being said, it is a common thing for lots of us to have two devices anyway, one for work and one for personal, so I do not feel like too much of a dork....

well what I was going to do is give the gf the phone that allows for comp use as she has her mac and would use it. The iphone works for everything I'll ever need unless I'm at work. That being said when the time comes I'll be in contact with you on what you recommend that is a phone and data when she uses it. She only uses the net a bit at night, so No real need for a full fledge. I sort of thought getting her the 6555 would work.

6555 as a phone prinarily and occasionally a modem connected to a computer, right? I probably want to go get the data cord and fire it up and check real speed, but at the moment, I think your perception is right on. I will tell you just from a PHONE standpoint, the thing is darned good looking, it is SMALL, and it feels "right" as a daily carry flip-phone. Take that, add MP3, a decent camera, AND data, (even regardless the speed) and it is an amazing device for its very small size.
