I rewired the stereo like you said. Although the fader on the HU does not mute the tower speakers or vice versa but I can do that with the gains on the amp.

Does the head unit have one or two sets of RCA preamp outputs?

I assumed you would know; it takes front and rear RCA connections for the fader control to work...

Yup just have one set. Once I thought about it i realized it, its just that you said use the fader and I wasnt really thinking about the fact that I only have one set of RCAs. That being said should my HU be set to full front fade or should I leave it on front and rear.

pretty much no difference either way; front volume will typically not start going down until you start fading to rear. Most radios have front and rear at full volume when set in the middle.

Yeah thats what I thought, the volume doesnt change when fading from both to front.
