It seems like it's harder to keep fish alive these days....I had an aquarium growing up and the fish seemed to last forever.

I have the same memories. I wonder if my parents were switching them out on me? That's what I'm doing to my son, and as of yet, he hasn't noticed...except when we didn't have any fish in there.
