that seems like a strange thing for the internet to lie about. my quick search suggests that regular is around $3.55 in colorado, while diesel is $3.95?

Wicked- That is pretty Awesome that Diesel is still cheaper in your area. I believe in the Midwest, Diesel became more expensive starting around 2002. I never have understood how diesel was consistantly around $1 a gallon cheaper and now runs $0.50 - $1.00 higher in our area. I would also guess as more of the auto manufactures produce and sell more diesels (which I personally am in favor of), cars, light trucks...the supply will be going up and I am assuming the pricing will follow. Maybe with increased production, the cost difference from gas to diesel will drop some.

And I'm sure by "no body" you mean most people? Especially at 5k' it doesn't make a lot of sense to run premium unless you are running a VERY high compression ratio since detonation is less likely.

Most new vehicles require 91 and any less will void warranty. We sample every vehicles fuel with engine related issues. Most factory engines these days are 10:1 or greater.

As for diesel being higher than gas now. They say there trying to off set there costs on new Proccessing equiptment for Ultra low Sulfer.. I call BS. Not too long ago here Diesel was cheaper than Low grade. Now its either the same or a little bit more than Mid Grade

Gas is a little cheaper right now. I haven't seen diesel for $3.95 though, in my area it's $3.69 to $3.83. I have 2 diesel vehicles so I know the price fairly well.

Diesel is more expensive because it's all imported now.

I beg to differ , most new vehicles require 87 and Im talking trucks also the only time they require 91 is when we do a performance computor up grade.

I don't know about that but the gas companies claim it's because they had to change their refineries for the ULSD standard and there was added cost.
