I would have no problem pulling that Dodge around my wet property right now with my Kubota 3200 4WD and it only has industrial tires.
I own a 2010 Dodge 2500 4WD LB and I like it but that video is ridiculous. BTW I have had to pull my Dodge out with my Kubota so I speak with experience.

Neighbor bought a brand new 2013 dodge ram dully diesel earlier this year. Has 32K on it after 5 months ownership.

      Torque converter failed this month.
Engine has lower end rod knock.

I'll keep you posted (and send pictures for proof) as time marches forward.

I can only assume the mechanical failures are due to owner maintenance neglect.

          A: I'm not full of $hit.
B: I'm as shocked to hear this as you.
C: I will prove my point later during the year. (photo's, paper work, etc.)
D: Obama is not full of $hit either.
E: The torque converter is Japan made "Aisin", so this seem highly unlikely. But again, I will prove it much to my disapproval.
          F: Happy New Year!!

This is what happens when you buy a brand new, unproven, american made product that hasn't gone through it's first year of test engineering yet.

The 8 speed trans going into the new dodge 1500 ram/diesel apparently has some history behind it.
Based on the ingredients of the article, chances are good that this trans will be (should be) reliable.
              And THIS IS GOOD.

The best news of it all is it's being mfg'd in SC.

                    Buy American....huh?

                    Quote from http://wallstcheatsheet.com

For 2014, The Toyota Tundra has never enjoyed the same kind of success that its domestic rivals take advantage of, despite the Tundra being made of more American parts than its domestic counterparts. Like the Camry, the Tundra uses three-quarters of its parts from the States or Canada; engine production is split between here and Japan. By comparison, the Silverado is made up of just 40 percent North American-sourced parts. (Note: the Ford F-Series was not ranked on the NHTSA’s listing; the Tundra was the highest ranking truck found on the list provided.)

                    http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/1...tml/?a=viewall

But...........according to pickuptrucks.com we have another perspective, which is 2012 model year:

This year, the Toyota Tundra and Ford F-Series will be eligible for the AMI because both have 75 percent domestic parts content, according to current data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For the F-Series, that's 15 percentage points better than a year ago. The Tundra was the only pickup in the 2011 index, ranking eighth among all cars and trucks. As for the Ridgeline, these are preliminary numbers but they are likely to be close. Domestic parts content for the Ram and Chevy Silverado are relatively unchanged from a year ago, and are well below the cutoff. Keep in mind, though, that the domestic parts content among some models can shift wildly year to year.

Here are the rankings for 2012, according to the most recent NHTSA info. (We should note some models could be missing because their data was not reported or is combined with other models.)

The State of The Union address was pretty good I must say. Very proud of our president.

Hard to tell but I think this truck might be using the new tow rating standard, J2807, and if not this year the big 3 will be using the new stardard in 2015.

My wife picked up a Grand Cherokee Eco Diesel a month ago. So far she is getting 24 MPG combined and really likes it.
It is much quieter than my 2010 Cummins and has a quite a bit of torque. It will be towing our RZ2 from now on.

Actually, 20.5 MPG. Diesel is 15% more than petrol (per gallon)........so to be fair, comparing apples to apples, there is a .85 factor to validate this claim.

You forgot one other part of the equation Mr. President and that is the Eco Diesel is a $4500 upgrade over the Hemi. So if you get your calculator back out it will probably even out mileage wise to the Hemi. BTW the 5.7 Hemi averages 16 MPG.

You just can't beat the torque of a diesel no matter what the CO$T.
