That video isn't supposed to impress anyone. The point is that Nissan can build a reliable truck that can do what it was designed to, that's all. I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot mate, I really am. I apologize for the above comments. What did you expect with your first comment though really? You were just asking for this whole" he said, she said" argument to start. I love talking trucks and cars and we could be here all day, but I'm not the enemy!(The Prius owners are, they want to make sure you don't have a truck to drive) I love big trucks, no matter what the brand.

For the record, I like Ford, Chevy/GMC, Toyota, and ya Dodge too! I would drive any one of those trucks and who knows, my next truck might be a Dodge.
And yes, I know that hands down your 3/4 Ton Cummins powered Dodge will Tow circles around my Titan with gobs more torque and at least 2000lbs more weight, no one is arguing that. Diesels will always win that game. Now if you let me swap in a Nissan Patrol turbo diesel engine and slap my Titan on a 3/4 ton frame(or fill my bed with lead), that would be a fair fight.

Show respect where respect is due, that's all. Nissan isn't new to the truck game, think late 70's Hardbody, neither is Toyota. In fact, they both produce diesels in their mid-size trucks found throughout the rest of the world, which produce plenty of torque to get the job done and they've been doing that for a long time. I think you misunderstand the truck market these days, it's very competetive and there aren't many people that are so brand loyal as you clearly are. People are looking for the right features, fuel economy, and most of all price! A lot of people are going to jump on any truck manufacturer who can deliver, brands aside. Nissan is filling a niche that's all, I mean c'mon, a half ton with a V8 diesel is pretty bitchin!

99% of the poeple who drive 3/4 ton diesels don't need them because their not towing 20k loads all day. I mean really a lot of V6 SUV's these days can more than handle 6000lb towing which is more than adequate for most wakeboard boats. Ya, I know you get exhaust and crank the boost up and you can make a big truck go pretty fast but that's not what trucks are for, they are for working. I had an STI a few years back that made 487whp/503tq that would smoke Porches, and Ferrari's. That makes more sense to me to make a car fast(for a lot less money no less) than to try and make a 9000lb truck go fast???? But hey if that's your thing, I'm not judging.

The fact that truck is still running and in use says a lot

Looks like Toyota might follow Nissan's lead a produce a US diesel model?
