I did. It didn't sit well with me. Since then, I've been asking a lot of insiders and all of their responses are the contrary. As fragile of an event as it seems, its got deep roots. It's also a huge money maker for this town. Besides, that same rumor seems to surface every year. I know your resource and I have nothing but huge respect for him but, I think perhaps its just speculation or maybe its just going to be his last year. He has crashed the same aircraft three times now. The insurance premiums have been lower this year, they keep implementing new safety regulations and corporate sponsorship is stronger than ever.

We will for sure hook up for beer. I'll even take you to my "secret spot".

[IDBoating]

Powerboating, and surfing, are actually our newest activities. Others include: Skiing, rock climbing, ATV's, ham radio (we're all licensed), radio control helicopters/cars/boats, geocaching, various shooting sports, and whitewater kayaking. I listed kayaking last because while it's probably my favorite of all of them, we've kinda gotten away from it as powerboating and surfing consumes much of the same months of the year, and powerboating/surfing are much more visitor/crowd friendly.

Thankfully most of these activities can be done at our lake place - even rock climbing, as we have a big cliff face right across the lake from our house. In fact, here's a shot of a friend climbing (I'm belaying from the top) taken from our previous boat:

Hmm interesting hobbies... guys I also love to play in dirt with ATV's... but currently i don't have ATV.. but I have something for racing.. and it also a good thing to enjoy the free time. In fact sometimes I try to find some extra times to play on it.
