If Phelps runs with a D on his jersey, the media will do their best to hide the pics and excuse the actions away if they come up. If he runs with an R, the will paint him unfit to run for even the office of dogcatcher.

Go back and look at how the main stream media handled the Bill and the Human Humidor story! It was untrue until there was DNA to prove it. They all but called Monica a lying slut and stood by Bill. Talk about insulting and degrading women

Obama trumpets being a pothead and the media loves him, yet they question Romney's ability to be president because of his Mormon faith! Really

Maybe this is why they have such strong conviction that women should get free contraception with their healthcare?
        Waiting for another good one!

So if we go with Romney the issues of party lines and our Seantors and Congressmen following party lines will just go poof and go away. If both the Senate and House continue to have a Republican majority it will be much easier to pass legislation whether it is good or bad legislation. Obam in his first year and a half should have done better. Since then a stonewall exists. Regardless as President he did not have enough management experience to run the country in my opinion.

Am I sold on Mitt Romney. No. I am tired of hearing as govenor of MA I overcame this and that and other accomplishments. As a state that has a strong technology base the issues of employment he had to address were significantly different than states that are blue collar labor intensive states.

Many posts are in favor of change. I am in favor of change at more than just our Chief Executive position. Are your Senators and Congressman representing their constituents? IMHO the ones currently holding seats for my state need a shake-up.

I have worked in the technolgy sector for over 30 years. I have been in executive management for 20+ years and have had to evaluate and make decisions on outsourcing manufacturing, programming, design and QA for years. In the last 6 years to remain competetive in the Telecommunications market it became a matter of company survival to send numerous positions overseas to countries with labor rates in technology positions that were significantly less than what was expected with domestic labor. As a company we delayed this as much as possible but with talent being as good or better at 40% less than what the domestic developers expected we moved about 40% of our programming and QA functions to India. We had to do this to remain competetive and be able to accelerate development of new products and product features. If we did not do this we would have closed our doors or sold the business to an overseas competitor. As a company we kept our call centers in the US. We also kept our small volume manufacturing functions stateside. Outsourcing 10-20 technology positions offfshore allowed us to continue to employee 150+ employees.

Obama assured us back during his 08 campaign that this would happen under him! But yet we have examples of his "bipartisanship" in statements like this from Nancy Pelosi:

This was B.O.'s meaning of bipartisanship so as long as the Dems controlled all 3 houses. But once the Dems lost control of Congress, his tune changed and he started to accuse conservatives of blocking legislature just for the sake of blocking it.

Nancy Pelosi is/was an attorney, right? Can you imagine how fast her practice would go under if she was advising her clients to "sign that contract, then we'll read it" Are you kidding me? This was our Speaker of the House and this was the advice our elected officials were given! You wanna see whats in, you gotta fall in line with us.

Since losing the Congress, B.O. has relied on Executive Orders to get his agenda moving. This is one more example that he has no intention of working with the Rep's and compromising on ANYTHING.

It is time for change and I hope we see it this go'round

It has Romney up 52% to BO at 45%. If that's a good poll this debate is over.

B.O. assured he would work with bipartisanship. Assurances, guarantess, political generalities are all BS in my opinion whether they are from Obama or Romney. I view them as best effort statements made in a near perfect world(not). In your business you will make best effort installing a wetsounds product. If it does not perform as expected by customer he can replace it, replace you or deal with some praticality if his expectation was not realistic. If everything a politician says is treated as gospel we are in deep trouble.

It is time for change(s). I stated that I am an independent. I will decide on my final votes before election day but I will say that 2 Senators and 1 Representative are not getting my vote. I have more research to do but in todays world it is possible to do.

No, Romney is still likely to have a Senate with a majority of dems. And even if the dems managed to lose their majority in the senate, Romney is very very unlikely to pick up enough republican senators to get the 60 votes necessary to actually control legislation in the Senate.

Likewise, as we've discussed above, the senate rules have demanded bipartisanship from Obama because for most of his term he has not had a 60 vote majority in the senate. Obamacare, for instance, required three republican senators to cross over.

So either one of them is going to need to work with the other party to get stuff done.
