How much were your tickets? My Dad tried to get some and told me they were $1,800.

I was on an email list and did some surveys so I got mine early. Regular folk can get them on Sunday. I got the second cheapest at 299 a pop. That's spendy for a family of 4 but it's the inaugural race, got to make the pilgrimage this year.

I'm renting a condo on Lake Dunlap for the race weekend. It's about 30-40 min south of the parking lot for the race.

Hotels in Austin want 200-crazy for a night, we go it much cheaper than that.

I asked my dad if there were any cheaper and he said No. He must want GOOD seats or something. LOL! It's going to be bad azz, that's for sure!

There were some crazy price premium seats for companies to pre-order. Season tickets they call it. The regular general admission tickets are about 159/person. That gives you a spot of grass to bring your own lawn chair to. I like to have real seats that I picked out, so I have grandstand seats at turn 5.
