I really hate the 55 mph speed limit for "all vehicles pulling trailers." it's going to be a longer trip up I-5 than I thought.

That was going 65-70 across tx, nm, az and bumped to 12.4 in CA doing 55-60.

Just made it over the grapevine pass, no problem holding 60 up the hill and 50 down the steep backside. Heading into Sacramento tonight, I'll catch up with more stories and pics as soon as I can. I had 2 photographers with me who took a lot of pics but I have to get them sized down and I to my photobucket.

Mpg is up to 12.6 through CA. My cruise is able to hold 60 up and down the hills without downshifting, I'm impressed with this little 4runner more and more. I got lots of funny looks from other 4runner owners. The boarder patrol guys also can't believe the 4runner comes in a v-8 and can tow this much.

Sunset pic driving out of AZ from day 2

Dinner pic heading into LA, waiting out the traffic. My uncle said there was plenty of room to park in this little strip mall parking lot, luckily i was able to parallel park in front of the little Mexican food joint he picked out, because it had been SO LONG since i had Mexican food in Del Rio.

No pics from LA, I had my hands full, glad i don't live there, but my brother waited it out and got me a parking spot in front of his apartment complex. The next morning when we were unloading the boat and re-arranging the cargo, we were told by the meter maid that there was a 2 hour time limit for boats parked in the street in Glendale, so we had to move it twice.

Spent an uneventful night in Sacramento, it was drizzling rain so I didn't get any pics, and it was foggy too. Here is a picture close to mt. Shasta, it looked cool.

This is at a scenic overlook near lake Shasta, and it ws the first time this truck and boat have seen snow.

This is in the little town of Dorris, i pulled in to tap a kidney and thought the boat was a nice contrast to the little town.

This was tonight driving into Bend, OR. They have a little bit of snow on the ground already

And this is here, at the hotel in Bend. I got quite a few strange looks today pulling into town, and almost slid into an icy intersection. I don't recommend towing on the snow and/or ice.
