Regardless of your political alignment, you should seek to have power divided between the major political parties. The "Unholy Trinity" of having it concentrated into a single party short-circuits the system of checks and balances that was intended to exist within the legislative process (House, Senate, and President). Our liberties are best protected when power is distributed, not concentrated.

Ideally, we'd have three parties that divide the Presidency, House, and Senate between them. In a two party environment we want one party to have the Presidency and the House, and the other party to have the Senate. The reason for this arrangement is because there are some actions that involve only the Presidency and Senate (treaties, SCOTUS, etc.) and we want that authority spread around just like the legislative authority.

However, lacking the ideal of splitting the Presidency and Senate, we should at least split the Legislative branch (different parties for House and Senate).

As a Native Nevadan, this is the only bright spot of the situation. For us, Reid is far from being a Nevadan anymore, he's a Washington...er? I don't feel he really has Nevada on his short list of "To Do's".

On the other hand we have Sharron Angle who is just a complete moron. When she is allowed to speak on her own, which is never now, she does nothing but put her foot in her mouth. It's a joke. She is now just a mouthpiece of the Tea Party. As soon as they scooped her up, her camp went dead silent. Zero press. They shut her up for nearly two month until they came out with a working prototype. They created the android you see today. The only reason anyone might vote for her is because Reid will be gone and they feel she won't have any power at all.

At least with Reid you know what your getting. We realize he is a major thorn in a lot of people's sides but, the other option is...

Amidst all of the negative ads on both sides on how AWFUL everything is, has anyone noticed the following posts in October on the Tigeowners board:

-Looking to buy a RZ4 or 24ve 2007 or newer.

-New Tige Owner
-Ordered my RZR (Multi-page thread 1 2)
-New 22ve Owner (Multi-page thread 1 2)

Even the guy selling his 22ve says this:
-Looking to upgrade to a new RZ2 or RZ4 with integrated ballast. Need to sell this one first tho...

I don't recall many (or any) of these posts in 2009.

My sense is while there are still a lot of people hurting, it feels like the economy is starting to normalize. Almost like people have come out of the storm shelters, still looking over their shoulders at the horizon for dark clouds, but are starting to feel sunshine. Storms are still raging some places, but as a whole it feels like we are becoming sober after the economic dry-heaves of the last 2 years. Sober as in nobody believes the good times are around the corner, but maybe the worst is over.

Anyone else feel this way?

i don't see the bright future yet. i'm as positive as the most positive,but also a realist.some new jobs are being created yes but the unemployment rate in virginia is at a all time high. no trickle down from washington dc .but plenty of tax increases and forced medical plans and small business failures.the sooner we clean the toilet the sooner it will stop smelling like change [the diapers of the babies in washington].
