ugh...not great news on the '02 Passat

shop tells me that the ABS module is toast and needs to be replaced ($1100+)...and the motor mounts are shot and should be replaced (another $1100+)

hate big repair bills on an old car - hopefully it isn't the start of a never ending string of problems

Did they check the blinker fluid? Pretty sure that is a common problem on European cars.

I asked them to look at that, too.

I dunno - those were their answers on two problems I asked them to look into. The ABS warning light was on, and so they said the module is kaput.

The motor mounts seems odd, but I have serious creaking noises from the front end in cold weather. I thought it might be a suspension issue, but they say that it is actually the motor mounts and bushings. Not sure, maybe they are full of chit. Unfortunately, I don't have decent mechanic that I know around here who deals with german cars.

I'm holding off on doing either of those repairs for right now.

Hey guys! Can someone tell me again how to insert a youtube video as an attachment in a thread?
How's everyone doing? We snowboarded this weekend and my son had a school project that is really awesome and I wanted to show it off!

auburn - if you look at the URL for the video, you will want to copy only the string of characters that comes after the = symbol

then click the "Go Advanced" or "Quote" button...from there, click the youtube icon and it will place a couple of brackets with YT in them...between the YT and the /YT bracket you should paste the string of characters noted above

does that make sense?

but, somehow the characters you used from the URL has some other info in it...so at the end of the commercial it immediately starts to play some other videos of yours...like you surfing and then some Rascal Flatts tornado tribute, then learnwake.com video....
