Im coming out of the HU. I want to be able to control the ipod thru the remote on the transom eventually. Would a line driver make the static go away?

My 4 gauge ground for the JL 1000/1 was about 4' short from making it across the beam to the battery bank. Is there anyway to splice in a 4gauge wire so I dont have to get another 20' to make it over there. I didnt know if they make like a 4gauge brass connecter without having the eyelets. Or I could rig it in there with a eyelet on each end and bolt it togeather
