Good thing my ol lady didnt tell me environmental was coming out last friday to find out if I could build or not. No one was here so they left. Now I wont know for 3 weeks til I can be home and help them find the tank and laterals

Do you max out the WS-420 knobs, then set your head unit about 3/4 volume like normal, then set your amp gain with the SMD. What about messing with the frequency? I guess it'd all be shown how to use in the manual id guess.

I put the 420 knobs up about 3/4 of the way but you could go max if you wanted. So with the distortion detector you can put it on your HU and see at what volume you are getting distortion then back it down until there is no distortion and use that as your max volume.

As for the frequency there is a 2nd detector you can get that helps you set them exactly where you want them. Scroll down on this page some and they have a package deal.

And yes my system sounded great and then we tuned it with those 2 devices and took it to a whole different level. One thing I noticed though is the distortion detector tends to say the signal from the factory Tige HU is clean up to full volume. I didn't 100% trust that so I backed it down from 33 to 30 the 2nd time we tuned it and I think it helped a ton.
