I've bought quite a few things off Amazon and never had any problems

I buy a lot of amazon, not so much off eBay any more

Idk why, but Im leary buying stuff so damn cheap off of Amazon. My ol lady has the student prime so it would all have free shipping I believe, which would be nice. Its just that you click on one remote and itll pop up like 30 people with competetive prices so I can go with all the cheapest and come out for about 540, including the USB cord which the ebay package doesnt come with. Any advice on which route to go?

The CMD6 came with my boat, I really like it.

Do you use an ipod thru the USB cord? I think that means you can flip thru the songs from the transom that way instead of just turning it up n down

565 with shipping since none of the items were elegible for amazon prime. For 30 more bucks I could have it all come from the same place in the package off ebay, and it has free shipping. Id still have to buy the USB seperate tho

You can use an iPod, but I just load my playlist on a thumb drive. You can still cycle through your playlist with the remote.

Just read that thread Halfwatt. I just can't help but think he may have went way overboard. Seems like some fiberglass 4 -6 inches around the entire bottom edge of the deck would give you the same result. Isn't the goal just to eliminate the outer lip? Wish there had been some before & after pics.

thats the way im leaning. Then im reading forums about how the alpine HUs are better than clarion. Maybe the earlier models of Clarion but the looks and features of the CMD6 look great to me, not to mention the clean look of the remotes
