So I am pro-2A, but see two ways.
1. Who needs thousands of rounds of ammo? That being said, we should be constitutionally free to do so, based on the COnstitution's mandate that we be able to form a militia to prevent tyranny. Who can muster an effective militia with hundred of rounds? I might bend on this one though and allow limitations to purchase of ammunition. It probably is moot, as it is too easy to reload
2. License? I am a pro-license advocate for boat owners. Too many folks buy watercraft with not even the slightest knowledge of basic rules of the road. A first-time new boat owner is a deadly boat owner. I could go for very stiff penalties for unlicensed ownership.
Man, I will stop there. I can;t come up with anyhting good. For both of these, I se what on the surface looks like it might be helpful, but both can be considered unconstitutional, and if we are going to build bureaucracies to manage either, I think the money is better spent building a beureacracy to help the sick people out...
I don't know, but I am not giving up my guns.
