Part of the reason that I was going to do it was the previous owner had backed into something and there is a small area on the deck that needs to be fixed. The glass guy wanted over $500 to fix it. It is perfectly aligned that if I cut the lip off then the damaged section will be gone.

Since you have a reason it certainly wouldn't hurt.

chp when I was asking about those rev 10 rings I was thinking along the lines of how you said you could get just the rings for cup holders for like $7/ring. Oh well I guess I will have to swallow the $175 price tag on the LED rings.

I think the guy is his buddy and not making money on them. Cheapest I could get them made locally was about $12 or $15.
