I've made a very rough smoker before out of a 55 gallon drum. Just bore a couple holes in the bottom for air, a couple across the top for a rod to hang the meat on and a lid.
I would throw that in the bed of the truck and take it camping. But it wasn't very easy on the eyes.Waiting for another good one!Comment

That's just a pic I grabbed off google. I kept calling it a 15 gallon propane tank, the size I was always thinking of is actually a 25 gallon tank. They stand about 4 1/2' tall and are about 20" in diameter.
