        It would take some fab work and time, but one can return to a standard 6.5 w/ a 5 or 5.25 hole. Have a fab shop cut out a ring out of 1/16" alum stock. About 4.75 ID and 6.75 OD. Use it to screw thew with the deck sandwiched between the speaker and ring. The OD of the speaker will cover the current cutout.
