Since when is someone supposed to raise a family of 4 working as a pizza delivery guy, or any of the other min wage jobs Nobody cited? I worked 2 min wage jobs in college, but they were not the limit of my potential, they were a stepping stone into a carreer. I guess I missed the vote on the consitiution that garuntees the right for a house, 2 cars, vacation like europe, and healthcare. I guess that the govt education is not enough to teach a man to fish so he can feed himself for life.

I wish I could remember where I saw it, but there was a really good video that takes on the idea that the US is just like many of the socialist European countries. And the speaker makes a great point that those countries are often about equality of results or outcome, whereas the US was about equality of opportunity. Just because (most) everyone in the US has the opportunity to be successful, doesn't mean that they have the right to the same outcome.

Unfortunately it's true. We do need janitors, ditch diggers, sanitation workers, etc. Some people aren't smart enough to do much more than that. Should they make enough money with that job to raise a family? That's not for me to decide.
