I probably got another 2 - 3 lower TAPS positions out of it which helped a ton! Before the mod I really couldn't use TAPS above 2, maybe 3 depending on weight.
so those two holes you drilled are crooked, You did not take it off the transom and redrill any holes there did you?
That should be a easy fix on that mount
I drilled it without taking the plate off. My error was that I used a unibit to drill the holes and I accidentally drilled the right hole a little too big for the bolt. No matter how much I tighten it, the water pressure pushes the bolt up higher in the hole I drilled. I either need to put a sleeve in there or just open the left hole up a little more. The water is always pushing up so it will never slip down.

Change the screw out for a bigger bolt in the one if they are centered

What's funny is that we only had about 3 days all summer where the water was salty, at least where I could tell. The anode stayed looking new until those 3 days and then started to corrode. After those 3 days, it has pretty much stayed looking the same.
