So tired of my squeaking trailer. Anyone have problems with the surge brake actuator squeaking constantly? Just rebled the brakes. I've cleaned, oiled, greased, etc everything I can find but no luck. The actuator just seems to move too freely.

My trailer squeaks quite a bit, too. I just use selective hearing to ignore it.

Hear ya. The old man at the place that built my trailer said that its supposed to squeak. He said that lets you know the brakes are working...

My Chevy is so quiet inside that I would never know if the trailer was squeeking or not!

They still using 2' of mud for noise suppression?

I don't think you mean it's quiet inside. I think you meant to say that your Chevy has so many annoying rattles and gremlin noises that you couldn't hear your boat dragging behind you by the safety chains!

After all, Ford is the only one with 'quiet steel'.

No, no rattles in this one. My Avalanche definitely had those and my Corvette is one of the most annoying cars EVER for rattles and squeaks. And no Dr, it's not from the 2' of mud of either!

If I put the clear roof in my Corvette (versus the body colored one), you can feel the whole car flex when you go over a train track or large bumps. I think that was a design feature.
