You think the Rev 10s will handle that much power? I wouldn't mind moving up to the sinister series amps. Just don't want to blow speakers or spend money that doesn't need to be spent.

No. Other than the ad on here, I really haven't tried.

I think they can if it is tuned properly and if there's not a loose nut behind the volume control. The reality is that an amp that is capable of 585W RMS per channel running at 70% of it's max power (400W) is going to sound better, run cooler and potentially last longer than a 400W per channel amp running at 100% output.

My 4 Rev10's can't handle the full unclipped output of my 2 MHD750/1's. After adjusting the gains and using my DD1 at each component in the chain to adjust the HU, Line Driver and 420 at their max, unclipped output, I ended up dropping the amp gains all the way down. The speakers simply could not handle it.

With the gains all the way down, I can run the 420 at about 85% of it's unclipped output and the speakers sound great as long as the music is well recorded.

Where'd you buy your DD1 and how hard is it to use? If I wasnt running all wetsounds I would probably take one off your hands but want to have all the same amps on my rack minus my 1000/1 slash on the 13w7

Now that youve added the WS-420, the only thing on the amps that would maybe change would be the gains might need to be lowered.

I have also found that I can run a WS-420 wide open with no signal clipping. Running through the WS-420 AUX is a different story. Huge difference between a 2V head-unit and .2V MP3.

I pretty much only use an ipod running thru my HU. Should I just keep it on my HU than instead of switching it to the AUX out on the EQ. My gains do need to be lowered because the inboats were clipping at full tilt on the EQ. The rev 10s had a different sound to them too, like there wasnt much mid bass. I think the frequency is at 80-90 now tho on the revs , but I had the bass, mid, mid bass, and highs knobs all right in the middle. I guess I'll just have to play with it a bit
