No, they are paying minimum wage for a minimum wage job.
and then the argument is made that because those employees aren't represented by a union they are making minimum wage when they should be making what the grocery baggers make who are represented. So of course the Union thinks they are dragging down the value of a bagger right? As long as people are lined up around the block to submit an application to do that job, then that's what that job is worth in my opinion.
A friend of mine is a bagger at a grocery store, represented by the union. When the union forced him to go on strike, he was already struggling to make his rent payment. He couldn't work, he couldn't even go find another job during the strike period or he would be fined by the union, fired from his job that he wasn't allowed to do or get paid for, and would likely not get hired back again
Apple is pretty bad at the building in China thing. They claim that there is a shortage of skilled labor in the US and that's why companies can't build those type of products here. I'm sure they would just move all of that manufacturing back if they could find that talent here.
Apple is a monster money generating compnay that has outsourced jobs to other countries. One could almost call them an "Evil Corperate giant", but yet they never seem to find their way into those liberal talking points Why is that?
Maybe cause he's contributed to the Dems and Obama

In some circumstances yes but not all. Should American's work for $5 a day like they do in other countries? I am pro capitalism but pro business ethics too. It's bad business ethics for a guy to make billions of dollars a year in profit and pay people $5 for a 16 hour work day to make him those billions.
Sorry, I'll keep it light from here on out, I think most of the reasons unions were formed, the coorporate greed and unethical business practices were answered with OSHA, the EPA and the national labor relations board. And I think that as a free country, if workers want to form a union they should be allowed, but a company should be allowed to hire other workers if they can find them while the regular workers strike. And I don't think any federal, state or local employees should be allowed to form a union, and I don't think union membership or dues paying should be mandatory by state or federal law.

speaking of political and social views - it was interesting at the Rise Against concert on Mon night, they used the sound clips of that "greatest 3 minutes in television" bit with Jeff Daniels to transition between a couple songs
