Out. They are actually closing all their plants in the US. But as far as I know, the CA plant was the largest with over 700 jobs.

Iwndr how much profit Campbell's was making vs what they want to make or used to make. It's definitely expensive to operate here in the USA. If they waived all taxes for corporations, it would still be more expensive because labor is not cheap in this country.

Thanks to unions and stupid laws that make it mandatory to join certain unions and have dues pulled out of pay automatically. I don't know why they can't see that they are like the broke fisherman who overfish the waters, then complain that they can't make a living fishing because the huge fish harvests of the last 50 years have depleted the population. Now there is less fish, smaller fish, and the cost of fishing is gone up. I feel sorry for new fisherman who didn't cause the problem but I have no sympathy for old fisherman or old union cronies who sucked the profitability out of the companies. Now they have no jobs, now what are they gonna do?

Ugh, I had to open my mouth. Just can't make an argument with this mentality, I'll overlook that status from now on.

So you don't have an answer other than complaint! When gwb left office our economy was bleeding 800k a month in job loss, and that lasted until almost the end of 2009! Losing almost 15M jobs.Since that time we have done a complete reversal and have regained 5M which that number include all the state and local civil service jobs that would have been lost if not for the passing of the economic stimulus. Those job loss numbers are because of the Bush economy!

It's bad business ethics for a guy to make billions of dollars a year in profit and pay people $5 for a 16 hour work day to make him those billions.
