Or else Dr just needs to get drillin' some more wells faster.

Just wait till you board at 53!! Just putting the board on gets you winded. You really have to learn to hold your breath!

22 mph, rope at 75', TAPS at 4 and 3 people in the boat.

No way would it plane out in a good enough distance with 8 people in the boat with that much weight. You are talking 1,200lbs of people weight on top of the ballast. That 537 was never designed for that.

I tried everything from 21-24mph and a 75' rope. Adjusted Taps from 1-8 and it just wouldn't clean up. It would plane out it just would not clean up no matter what I did. I dumped the ballast to 25% ran taps at like 3, 22mph and shortened the rope to 65'. I sped up to 23mph and was able to extend the rope to 70'. I will be happy when I have my 1235 back.

What was your top speed with the 537? 49 mph?

I was finally getting significant slippage this weekend with the 537. Of course, I had around 2000 lbs of ballast for surfing, and I was running at around 25 mph to get back to the marina.

But at the weights and speeds I usually run, it has done OK. I'll need to talk to Acme to find what they have that is between the 537 and 1235. I don't think I need all the grunt of the 1235.

On a side note, I did have a guy barefoot behind my boat this weekend, too. I was topping out at 42 mph.

It was only around 39 which is about 1mph faster than the 1235. I might have hit 40 once or twice. I was WOT from Rainbow Bridge to our spot in Last Chance. The ENTIRE channel was just straight butter for that 20 mile or whatever it is drive. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Might have thrown about 6-8 WOT 360s during that run

Nice! Love the RZ2 handling! My boat hit 46 down at Powell.

Might have been all the extra people and stereo weight holding me back.

I had about 1/2 ballast and a boat full of people and my 537 struggled to get up on plane. I had to use taps at 0 and an extra person in the bow but on speed, around 23.5 the wake was clean and the boat held speed well.

I've had my Axis up to 50mph with my 1235 prop.
                              Waiting for another good one!
