back from lunch run. Coincidence, I hear an operator outside my office door talking to a Union rep about a shift in their schedules cause they have to work up to 10hr shift for the next 2 months during equipment upgrades.

I get a kick out of the Lawyer commercials stating that anything over 40 hours is OT and you should be getting paid. Iwndr how many have jumped at that. I would rather have a job than make OT.
Yeah but working 70 hours a week for 40 hours pay week after week gets old, people shouldn't have to do that and nor should they. Maybe if people spent more time with their family and raising their own kids, we would be in a better place.

It's the law in Calif. Although there are ways around it. I think you have to have some kind of CE title. Chief Executive Mechanic?
I wonder if there are stats that show the difference in the outcome of the kids whose parents spend time with them in a boat or an rv, camping, etc vs those dads that go golf or do business trips 6 out of 7 days a week.

Those stats would be too controversial. We have to stick to stats about how many minorities are out of work instead.

I might borrow this for a facebook status update. I wonder how controversial my facebook page gets with this?
