A tip that really helped me is to square your shoulders with the boat and get your heels closer to the heel side edge.

ugh - nobody wanted to get up early this morning to try to catch decent water, so we didn't get on the lake until about 9:30. Waaay too many boats stirring things up. Turned into a non-riding day
