Two brothers were going cross country on motorcycles. On brother had a .38 for when they were sleeping out in the woods. They crossed into Canada and he forgot to put it on his declaration. When asked if he had a weapon he said no. He went to the check point and was asked again and said yes. He lost the gun spent 18 days in jail and has a trial in Jan. He can't leave Canada before the trial.

Back in the mid 80's my dad and I were coming from Alaska to California for a trip we brought 2 shot guns. We delcared them at the boarder from AK to CA. We spent 6 weeks in the states and completly forgot about them. When we got back the boarder and did not declare them again they found them in the trailer with the tags still on. They seized everything put my dad in custody. 15K fine... After 18 hrs at the boarder and alot of talking and cash they let us go...
