yep, it's all about drainage here. There are people who buy houses where the property drains towards the house and they fight wet crawl spaces and water issues forever. Good builders spend the money to install pea gravel with perforated drain pipe around the footings of the foundation.

Yep any good builder will ensure that there is drain tile around the house that is routed to a sumpin the basement.
