My daughter and her boyfriend have a Pit Bull, I do not worry about her at night when she is alone

My best dog was a Lab Rott mix, it had the best traits of both breeds and it would protect any of us to the death. Nothing at all walked into our yard or came near our camper when we were out. The bad thing was I could not even look cross eyed at the girls or she would come at me and let me know it too

I make the fiancé take one with her when she goes for a run. I always tell my male if I come home to the house robbed and the robber isn't laying in a pool of his own blood his *** is getting a job. I bought him a bone today for scaring the dude away before he got my oakleys. I just bought them while in Vegas.

She always rode in the back of my truck and I would leave her in it while I went into stores and such, She would just hang out and be smiling and wagging her tail to anyone that came near, but if they were not under 12 god help them if they tried to touch the truck or her. she would instantly have a full mouth of foam and go to crazy biotch mode

I would always tell her that was pretty sadistic

She sounds like an awesome dog. I love my Pitts. I am curious how protective they will get once the future wife gets preggars.

They get such a bad rap and from what I see of my daughters they are very loving dogs. They protect the house better than any breed I've ever seen though. Hers does not like people in hats and for the first year I had to take mine off when I went over there. She lets me keep it on now

My boy doesn't like people he doesn't know in hoods. Other than that they love people. They do pretty well with other dogs too.

Maybe they'll check your nuts if you ask nicely.

Our lab/golden mix is everyone's best friend. Someone could be stealing everything from our house, and she would just want them to pet her.

Our previous dog, a lab/chow mix, was pretty damn possessive and protective. Had a mean looking and sounding bark if he thought anything was a threat (like birds, squirrels, etc.). After he was gone, wife felt we needed an alarm system because our friendly dog didn't quite give her the same sense of security.
